Halls of Residence
The Accommodation team are based in the Student Centre and are committed to providing the best living environment for students without the worry of household bills or maintenance costs.
All Halls of residence are associated with City and are self-catered, therefore students are responsible for their own cooking.
Most of our residences are within a short walk of the main University buildings and each residence has a team of dedicated management staff and some halls have residential advisors whose role is to support and advise students living in London for the first time.
Please note that all City University Halls of Residence are designated entirely non-smoking. This includes all buildings and external grounds.
Please note that a limited number of rooms for returning students can be found in certain halls each year. Final year students are held in priority over returning undergraduate students for these limited rooms.
There are no guest rooms available in any of the Halls of Residence.

Tier 4 visa applicants: Unfortunately payments made to third-party housing providers e.g. Sanctuary Management Services, EC1 Residences, Liberty Living, Unite or Derwent Living cannot be included as evidence of funds when submitting a Tier 4 visa application. We advise applicants to delay paying full accommodation fees until their Tier 4 visa application has been submitted and, ideally, approved. As advised by the International Student Advice team. Please note that you will still have to pay some fees up front to hold your room in these properties, but just do not pay the whole year fees until your visa has been approved.
