Preparatory route for international students

City University London offers several foundation and preparatory courses that prepare international students for entry to undergraduate and postgraduate degrees. These courses give guaranteed entry to a specific degree at City, provided that students achieve the grades required to proceed.

City's courses are all offered in London, either at the University or in nearby partner colleges. While on the courses students have the benefit of full membership of the University and access to all our facilities.

In addition, we recognise a number of similar courses offered by other institutions.

The preparatory courses are intended for students who are studying in the education systems of other countries that are not recognised for direct entry to a City degree. Normally, students should be achieving good grades in their own education system to be considered for a place on any of the courses.

The preparatory courses also offer English language preparation, either in combination with academic studies or for students who simply need to improve their language skills.

The courses all offer various start dates throughout the year to reflect the needs of individual students.
