How to apply

There is no application form for this bursary. Eligible candidates will be awarded from the data received from UCAS and on recommendation from the Designated Member of Staff for Care Leavers. When applying for student finance through your Student Finance Authority please give them consent to share your financial information with City, if you have any sponsors on your student finance application they must also give their consent. You will then automatically be considered for a bursary (provided you meet the eligibility criteria). Please see the Terms and Conditions for further information.

Notification and payment
The bursary fund is limited – Students will receive £2,500 unless the number of eligible students exceeds the available funds. If this scenario occurs the bursary will be reduced in accordance with what funds are available to be evenly split among the eligible cohort. Successful undergraduates will be contacted during January 2017. Payments will be made in two equal instalments in January and April each year.
