The City Undergraduate Accommodation Bursary (for 2014/15 entry)

The City Undergraduate Accommodation Bursary is aimed at Home/UK undergraduates ordinarily resident in England, from household incomes of up to £42,611. The bursary will provide financial support towards accommodation costs in City's nominated halls of residence only.

Eligibility criteria

  • New Home/UK undergraduates starting in 2014/15;
  • Ordinarily resident in England;
  • In receipt of a full or partial maintenance grant from Student Finance England;
  • Living in a City nominated Halls of Residence from the start of the 2014/15 academic year.

Value

£2,000 per year for a maximum of three years subject to satisfactory academic progress. (Please see the terms and conditions for full details).

How to apply

You do not need to complete an application form. When applying for student finance through Student Finance England (SFE) please give your consent to share your financial information with City. You will then automatically be considered for a bursary (provided you meet the eligibility criteria listed above).

Notification and payment

The number of bursaries available is limited and we cannot guarantee that every student who meets the eligibility criteria will receive a bursary. Successful undergraduates will be contacted during January 2015. Payments will be made directly to City's nominated Halls of Residences towards the third term's accommodation fees (around April each year).
