School Talks
We provide high quality presentations to students and parents/guardians alike related to higher education. These presentations can be delivered in your institution or at the University itself. We cover subjects like
- Why go to University?
- Choosing a course/university
- Student Finance
- Writing a good personal statement
- Studying in London
- Studying at City University London.
The talks are designed to encourage and support students through the application process, whilst informing them about what City has to offer. The programme of talks is constantly being reviewed and updated so most requests can be catered for.
These talks are designed for groups of Year 12 and 13 students with a general interest in Higher Education. (NB - minimum of 25 students per talk).
Subject specific talks
We can arrange subject specific talks, delivered by City University London's lecturers. If you would like to involve our lecturers in your next round of subject talks, please do get in touch and we will aim to support your programme of events.
These talks are designed for groups of Year 12 and 13 students with a specific subject interest. (NB - minimum of 25 students per talk).
We are also happy to speak to groups of parents or participate in staff training events.
This is a free service and most sessions last approximately one hour, although it is possible to alter the sessions depending upon the needs of the school/college.
