For international students
City University London is proud to have a large population of international students. We are a truly global University, located in the heart of a global city, and we benefit from the diverse cultures, skills and experiences of our students. Our students benefit from our internationally recognised research and the quality of education that keeps us in the top 5% of universities worldwide.
You can find lots of information about studying at City as an international student, both in the Study at City section and in the section for international students.
Fees for international students
Tuition fees vary, depending on your country of residence (and other factors). Fees for UK and EU students are typically lower than fees for international students. Look at our course pages for information on your course and fees.
Funding for international students
You will need to organise your own funding before you begin your course at City. US students can get information on applying for Federal Loans. We can also help you estimate the costs of living in London.

- Extending your visa (if you're already in the UK)
International foundation programmes
If you are an undergraduate student coming from a country with qualifications not recognised for direct entry to City University London, you can take an international foundation course to prepare you for your first year of study. If you complete the course successfully you will be in a strong position to gain a place on a course at City, and in some cases guaranteed entry to a specific course (subject to availability for Cass Business School).
Local representatives
We have local representatives in many countries who can give you direct advice on your application. Your local representative can also help you with your visa application, travel arrangements, accommodation, translation, fee transfer and preparing for life in London.
International fairs
Throughout the year you can find City University London at international education fairs. These fairs give you a chance to find out more about City and speak to our staff, and include seminars on topics including writing a personal statement and choosing between an MA and an MSc.
Entry requirements
Check if your qualifications are suitable for entry to City by checking the page for your country of residence, and by contacting the relevant department.
