• These websites allow you to conduct a property search online, based on location and price: Loot, Time Out magazine, Homes and Property, Findaproperty, Rightmove, Primelocation, Zoopla, Locanto and Ukpropertyshop.
• There are also websites that help you find rooms in shared accommodation and find flatmates. Have a look at StudentPad, Gumtree, Spareroom, Flatmateclick, Easyroommate, accommodationlondon.net and Pastures-new.
• London Strategic Housing (LSH) is a charitable social landlord. Some LSH properties are available to students on Health related courses.
• Hosts International Ltd and Hospitality London are organisations which arrange English homestays for overseas students. You pay a weekly fee to live in a family environment, and can choose the type of meal plan that you prefer.

• There are companies such as Glide and Uswitch that can consolidate all your utility bills so that you pay just one amount per month, and if there are people moving in and out of your shared accommodation, they can work out the amount owed by each person so that you don't have to.
• If you want a television in your rented property, please remember that in the UK a TV Licence is required. If you rent a room in a hall of residence, each student needs a licence as the rooms are rented separately.

If you need to find somewhere to store your belongings while you look for accommodation, or while you are travelling around the UK, search for 'Storage Companies in London' using on Google/Bing and you will be provided with a large list of options such as The Big Yellow Storage Company and www.studentstoragebox.co.uk. If you just need to leave a bag for a few hours, or a day while you visit London, or elsewhere in the UK, you can store bags (charged per bag) in a 'Left Luggage' storage area - these can be found at many of the main train stations in the UK.
