We have a long tradition of academic excellence, dating back to our foundation in 1894. City is ranked in the top 20 UK universities (18th) in the Guardian University Guide 2017.

City is the only institute in the UK to have its Student Centre recognised by The Institute of Customer Service, an accreditation in recognition of excellent service delivery to students.
