The Lord Mayor of London Scholarships for Academic Excellence
At City University London we believe that exceptional academic performance should be recognised and rewarded. City is offering a Scholarship of up to £3,000 per year to UK and EU undergraduate students achieving exceptional grades at 'A' level, International Baccalaureate or other equivalent qualifications starting an undergraduate course at City in September 2013. The award will be granted subject to confirmation of your 'A' level results or equivalent qualifications. The Scholarship for 2014 entry is subject to approval.
The Scholarship amount for UK and EU students starting an undergraduate course at City in September 2013 ranges from up to £1,000 per year for students achieving grades ABB at 'A' level (or equivalent*) to up to £3,000 per year for those achieving A*AA (or equivalent*) .
Eligibility criteria
To qualify for The Lord Mayor of London Academic Scholarship for Academic Excellence, you must:
- be a student from the United Kingdom (UK) or European Union (EU);
- be in your first year of undergraduate study in 2013/14;
- achieve grades ABB or above in 'A' levels (or equivalent*)
Value and duration
The value of your scholarship depends upon your grades and course - please see the table below. You may spend the money as you wish.
The scholarship is paid for a maximum of three years, subject to satisfactory academic performance each academic year.
Application and payment
You do not need to apply. All qualifying applicants achieving the required grades will automatically be contacted during November 2013. Payment will be made on 31 January 2014.

City University London reserves the right to make changes to the terms and conditions of The Lord Mayor of London Scholarships for Academic Excellence and these will appear on our website. Only 50 scholarships will be awarded to students from the School of Health Sciences (*see terms and conditions).
