In this module you will explore the key theoretical perspectives used in the analysis of race and ethnicity and will examine ways in which theorists of race and ethnicity have contributed to contemporary policy debates around social cohesion, assimilation, racism and citizenship.

You will also consider whether an understanding of theories of race and ethnicity has implications for research strategies and further theorising.
