Professional & academic development for psychologists

In the first year of the course, it is essential that you quickly develop and/or strengthen the key background knowledge and skills that you will need to facilitate your learning and understanding of psychology.

This module is designed to provide you with the appropriate learning environment for developing these skills.

We aim to introduce you to key subject-based knowledge and skills to enable you to be an effective learner in psychology.

This includes critical and writing skills, applications of computers in psychology, bibliographic and web-based searches (e.g. Psych lit) and an introduction to the use of SPSS for data analysis.
