Yet the interests and power of the secretive world of financial markets can affect the lives of millions across the globe: through investments, economic reforms and, most painfully, financial crises.

In this module you will delve beneath the secrecy surrounding the world of finance by studying the complex problem of financial instability in global capitalism.

Although we deal with issues of finance and macroeconomics, there is no requirement to have a formal background in economics. You are encouraged to explore the social and political side of global finance in your own projects.
