International organisations in global politics
This module provides you with an introduction to the politics of policy making in the main international organisations.
The traditional distinction between intergovernmental organisations and international non-governmental organisations will be made, but you will also focus on the legal and theoretical significance of hybrids.
While the aim is to cover a broad range of the diverse types of globally significant organisations, you will pay particular attention to the human rights aspects of these organisations’ work.
This module can therefore also contribute to the human rights degree courses.
