Intermediate macroeconomics 1 and 2

Part 1:

This module will build upon the introduction to macroeconomics by covering the main theoretical models of macroeconomics. It emphasises modern macroeconomic analysis based on microeconomic foundations.

You will cover topics such as national income accounting, economic growth, consumption, saving and investment, interest rates and asset prices, money and inflation.  

Part 2:

This module will build upon intermediate macroeconomics part 1 by applying the main theoretical models of macroeconomics to important applied areas such as the macroeconomics of growth, business cycles, international economics, taxes and government expenditure, public debt.

You will focus particularly on modern macroeconomic analysis based on microeconomic foundations.
