Forced migration

In this module you will explore the key issues in forced migration which is placed  within a global context in terms of the geography of migration and the development of the international regime.

More specifically you will consider the geography of global migratory movements, the factors that result in migration and theories of migration, the main international and regional instruments governing refugees and other forced migrants and their position within the human rights discourse.

A gender perspective will be included as you consider the current and changing discourses in the study of forced migration.
