Approaches to social research

This is a core module that will introduce you to the main research methods used in the social sciences and provide you with the skills to formulate, design and carry out a small piece of research for your dissertation.

The seminars and workshops for this module will be focused on the relationship between research and the substantive areas covered in the mas, so that you will be in a position to relate the methods to your specific research questions.
