Postgraduate training in Health Economics
City University offers both Masters and PhD degrees in health economics.
We welcome enquiries from intending PhD or post-doctoral fellows whose research interests closely complement our research programme. Recent health economics PhDs conferred by the Department of Economics include:
- In 2002: Dr Stephen Morris - An Economic Analysis of Nurses Earnings in Great Britain
Dr Morris is now Senior Lecturer at Imperial College - In 2003: Dr. Maria Raikou - Estimating Medical Care Costs: An Examination Under Conditions of Censoring
Dr Raikou is now Senior Research Associate at the London School of Economics - In 2004: Dr. Marc Brisson - Economic Evaluation of Vaccination Programmes: A Special Reference to Varicella Vaccination
Dr Brisson is now Associate Professor at the Université Laval, Canada.
