Confirmation and registration
Everything you need to know on how to confirm your place and register online.
What do I need to do to confirm my place?
Once you have accepted your place you will need to provide proof that you meet the conditions of your offer before you will be invited to register. If you are an international student and require a Tier 4 visa it is important you do this as early as possible as you cannot apply for a visa until we have proof that you meet the entry conditions.
This means you need to send us a copy of your full LLB or GDL results transcript showing you achieved the conditions set out in your offer letter as soon as it is available and by 25th August at the latest. If you need a student visa you should aim to provide this evidence earlier to give you sufficient time to apply for your student visa (this is particularly important given the LPC start date).
This should be sent to email@example.com or by post to the Admissions Office, The City Law School, 4 Gray's Inn Place, London, WC1R 5DX.
If you are undertaking your LLB/GE LLB or GDL at City Law School you will not need to provide evidence of your results. We will, of course, obtain these directly.
You are not required to obtain Student Enrolment/Completion of the Academic Stage from the SRA unless you have character or suitability issues. If you do have character and/or suitability issues you will need to contact the SRA and make the relevant applications for permission to begin the LPC as early as possible (the SRA advise 6 months before the start date of the LPC).
What happens at online registration?
Online registration is scheduled to open in early August 2017. Once online registration has opened and you have met all of the conditions of your offer you will receive an automated email from City, University of London inviting you to register for the course online. Please note that you cannot register online until you have received this email as this will give you the unique user ID and password which you require to login.
Online registration is a relatively straightforward process. You will be asked to confirm course details and personal details (full name, address, date of birth etc.). You will also be prompted to pay the first instalment of your fees if you have not already done so. You do not have to complete online registration all at once, you can return to it later, however please ensure you do complete online registration before Registration Day, which will be 11th September 2017.
When you have successfully completed the online registration process you will receive a Registration Certificate. Please print this out and bring it with you to Registration Day. Please note that you will not be a registered student of the University until you have completed both online and in-person registration.
Registration for the LPC will be 11th September 2017.
In late August you will receive an invitation to registration with your specified time for registration and giving you details of the events taking place on this date. At registration you will also receive the first set of your materials for Term One.
Teaching will start on 11th September.
