Journalism Undergraduate BA (Hons)

Student blogger from City's Department of Journalism

Where are you from?

Bryne, Norway

What course do you do?

BA Journalism

Why did you choose to do it at City?

City's Journalism degrees have a really good reputation and the university's location couldn't be better -- you're in the heart of London, which I love.

What would be your ideal job?

Working as a journalist in a local/regional paper where I get to meet interesting people and write all day long.

Where in the world would you like to live?

Ideally, my dream house and location is a cottage-like house in the mountains back home in Norway -- not too rural, but not too urban either. Someplace where I don't have to travel two hours by car to get my hands on a new pair of shoes, but also where I don't have cars roaring by on the main road 24/7 (like I do now). I love London, but my nature-loving Norwegian genes are still very much intact. Sometimes I just feel like hugging a tree.

If you could trade places with any other person for a week, famous or not famous, living or dead, real or fictional. Who would it be?

Anyone at Hogwarts. Doesn't matter who, I just want to be a witch.

Favourite thing about London?

It's impossible to be bored unless you really try.
