Chloe liked the course at City as it focused on the future of librarianship and how the concept of information is changing in the digital age.

Why did you choose to study at City, University of London?

I liked the course at City as it is focused on the future of librarianship and how the concept of information is changing in the digital age. Many courses only teach the traditional side of being a Librarian which is no longer the main role of the Librarian.

What do you enjoy most about your course?

I enjoy the wide area covered by the course, it helps me understand how my role will interact with other sectors in the future. I think this will help me in the job market more than a purely academic angle.

What has been your favourite module and why?

My favourite module has been Library and Information Foundation, we did a different topic every week so it never felt monotonous.

What has been a highlight of your course so far?

The highlight of my course has been the Christmas party! Everyone had such a great time and it was a great way to relax and get to know everyone.

What do you plan to do after you graduate?

After I graduate I plan to be an Academic Librarian, I feel the vocational aspect of the course will help me talk about the current issues in libraries during the interview.

Anything else you would like to tell us about your time at City, University of London?

I liked that the course is on two days a week so I can travel in and work on the other three days, this has helped me to build up my CV with relevant experience.
