Dr Carol David Daniel is Head of Technology Transfer and Commercialisation at City, University of London.  His role is to assist researchers with commercialising their Intellectual Property including novel processes, methods, innovative solutions to problems, software and patents covering research and development outcomes from all of City's Schools.  The focus of his commercialisation activities have been on spin out companies including: Heleix Power, Thomson Screening, City-occupational, Camineo and licensing:

His background is in Engineering, he gained his PhD in Physics from Queen Elizabeth College, University of London and has spent most of his career in the private sector beginning with GEC, Marconi and eventually BTG.  Before he joined City he spent the previous 20 years in the sales and marketing of innovative products and services and in business consultancy. Carol is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology.
