Department for Transport

The Department for Transport is a Government Agency that plans and invests in transport infrastructure in the UK. Formed in 2002, the department is run by the Secretary of State for Transport.

David Osborne studied Economics at City, University of London. Now he is an Economist at the Department for Transport, helping to keep Britain moving.

He provides economic analysis to inform government decisions and policy, conducting economic appraisal of local transport schemes such as bus routes, cycle paths, roads and railways.
