About

Background

Marian Riley-Poku joined The City Law School (formerly The Inns of Court School of Law) as a Visiting Lecturer in 2006, and then as a full-time Lecturer in January 2011. Her main teaching is on the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) in Civil Litigation, Civil Advocacy, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Drafting, Opinion Writing and Conference. She is a co-co-ordinator on the Company Law option. She also teaches on the LLM in Professional Legal Skills and supervises student dissertations.

She studied Law at the London School of Economics, and is a member of Lincoln's Inn. She was called to the Bar in November 2000. Her practice was mainly in general civil and commercial work, Immigration and Human Rights Law. She became qualified to practice at the Ghana Bar in August 2010.
