Overview
Edward joined The City Law School in June 2003. His teaching on the LPC includes Civil and Criminal Litigation, Advocacy, Interviewing & Advising, Practical Legal Research, Commercial Dispute Resolution and Advanced Civil Litigation. He is the co-ordinator of the LPC with LLM. On the LLB he has taught English Legal System and Legal Skills..
Edward qualified and practised as a solicitor at Taylor Wessing (when Taylor Joynson Garrett) before spending 10 years as a civil litigator in private practice, mainly in the west end of London. He has also worked in the wine trade.
Edward is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and has close links with that body and also with the Worshipful Company of Arbitrators. He was a founder participant in the WCA UK Mediation Skills Competition in 2011 and in 2013 the CLS team which he coached were overall runners up. He has reviewed a number of books for OUP and is contributing several chapters to their new civil litigation manual for the SQE.
He has been an external examiner at London Metropolitan University and is currently an external examiner at the University of Staffordshire.
Edward is a member of the Law Society and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
