Background

Caitriona Hegarty is a Principal Lecturer at The City Law School, City University, London. She is the currently acting Course Director on the Bar Professional Training Course (Part-Time). Her main teaching and administrative duties are on the Bar Professional Training Course. She also teaches and supervises dissertations on the LL.M in Criminal Litigation and supervises dissertations on the BPTC LL.M.Caitriona has extensive experience in delivering CPD to barristers and solicitors in London particularly on legal research methods.

Caitriona has also designed and delivered a Postgraduate Certificate programme for tax consultants in London.Most recently Caitriona has been involved in the development of two new modules on the Criminal Litigation LL.M in Psychology and Evidence as well as Children and Vulnerable Witnesses.
