About

Background

Brendan Martin is a working journalist and writer. Among the titles he has worked for are the Daily Mail, The Times, The Independent, Daily Express, Irish Independent, Radio Times, Sky magazine, The Beatles Book Monthly, Computer Weekly, and other titles. He has been editor of several varied titles including the RTE Guide, Entrepeneur and a lifestyle magazine based on the south coast. He is also a former Features Editor of TVTimes.

Brendan has been a journalism trainer and NVQ assessor since 1994, when he was part of a National Training Award team. As well as training journalists and other media professionals in reporting, writing, sub-editing and media law in the UK, Ireland, USA and Asia, he runs courses in media law, QuarkXPress, Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver, web design and the internet.

He is Deputy Course Director of the MA International Journalism at City University London.
