Barbara has been a newspaper and magazine journalist for 30 years.
She has worked as a writer and reporter for Agence France Presse, the Central Office of Information, Woman's Own, Titbits, Australian Consolidated Press, London Bureau, and Today newspaper.
Barbara is a leading health writer and has contributed regularly to The Independent, Daily Telegraph, Guardian, Daily Mail, The Times, Observer, consumer magazines including Prima, Essentials, Now, Chat, Candis, Saga and Woman & Home, as well as websites and the specialist press, including Hospital Doctor and Doctor.
She has written three books on health, plus review articles in the academic journal Journalism.
She is Director of the Magazine Journalism MA.
