Project summary: June to September 2009, reorganisation of space to provide a more coherent building layout and new centrally managed lecture theatres.

Overall ObjectivesTait Building

 

Consolidation of the space occupied by SEMS on the ground floor of Tait. Provision of four new centrally managed lecture theatres and reconfiguration of space to allow more efficient use. installation of cimate control system.

 

approximate overall budget: £1.8m

 

Project Components

 

a. Relocation of electrical engineering laboratory on Tait ground floor (West) to ground floor (North).

b. Construction of one 79 seat and three 64 seat new lecture theatres on the gound floor.

c. Installation of new mechanical services system to improve control of environmental conditions in tait ground floor areas.
