Project Summary: June to September 2009, reconfiguration of space on levels two and three of the main Library to improve the use of space and create a link with the Student Centre.
Overall Objective
To reorganise levels two and three of the Library providing more flexible study space and improving access between the Library and the Student Centre.
approximate overall budget: £3.16m
Project components
a. Provision of new social/study space on both levels two and three including greatly expanded IT facilities and group study breakout areas
b. New route established between the Library and Student Centre on Level 2 to allow better permeability between student focused services.
c. Creation of a new issue/help desk area and secure entrance to the lending library.
