First Cohort 2004/7

1st Cohort (2004/07) Degree(s) & Current Occupation
Adwan Adwan (Journalism with Psychology) went on to gain MA International Journalism at City University, 2010 (self financed), now TV sports reporter covering the English Premier League.
Hazem Akkila (Computer Systems Engineering) went on to gain MSc International Business Economics, with distinction, at City University in 2010 (Self financed). Currently working as a Social Media Manager at a new TV channel.
Mahmoud Al-Ashi (Communications Engineering) went onto postgraduate study in Engineering at Newcastle University, with scholarship, before returning to Gaza (2010) where he married and began a family
Khaled Jamoos (Computer Systems Engineering) Worked in Belfast as Report Analyst at Almac Group pharmaceutical company. He then worked as a Data executive for the Advertising Agency TBWA\London. Currently he is a Software Engineer at Capgemini.
Omar Quqas (Computer Systems Engineering) went to acquire MSc in Cognitive Computing from Goldsmiths, University of London in 2011. Began career in the IT industry and became a certified Systems Engineer by Microsoft and gained Oracle Certifications. Currently working for a German company as an IT Consultant
Firas Khalil (Computer Systems Engineering) Working for Real Estate Company in Abu Dhabi.
Loai Haddad (Economics) Having gained work experience in London, returned to Gaza in 2010 and worked as an Economic Development Project Manager for the Union of Agricultural Work Committees and a Value Chain Analyst for World Vision as well as in Monitoring and Evaluation of economic development projects. Gained a scholarship from the International Labour Organisation to study an MSc in Applied Labour Economics for Development at the University of Turin in Italy and an Executive Master at the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris "Sciences-Po" in France (2011-12)
Ranin Boulos (Sociology and Media Studies) Attained fame in, among other roles, a part in the Israeli equivalent of 'Big Brother', as well as working in marketing in London and Jerusalem.
Gilad Halpern (Journalism and Social Science), went on to acquire a post-grad degree in Political Studies, in Paris where he was also foreign correspondent for vnet.co.il, the largest news site in Israel. He now works for the news network France24, where among other things he co-authors the blog "Israel Post".
Shahaf Ifhar (Sociology) Founding member of a new Israeli NGO called The Ceasefire Within; a musician (www.ifhar.com), and working at Bookworm, a bookshop and publishing house in Tel Aviv.
Dimi Reider (Journalism & Social Science) Contributor to The New York Times, New York Review of Books, The Guardian, Foreign Policy, The Jerusalem Post and Ha'aretz, where he also worked as staff writer for two year; periodic commentator on Al Jazeera, MSNBC and BBC World Service, and occasional reporter for Israeli Channel 10. Co-Founder and contributing editor at +972 Magazine. Gained Chevening scholarship to take MSc in Middle East Politics at SOAS 2011-12
Eran Zucker (Business Studies)
Jotam Halevy (Psychology) Went on to acquire an MA in clinical Psychology from Tel Aviv University ( 2012). Jotam Previously worked for several education and social services NGOs, mainly with children and adolescents. He is currently working as a trainee clinical psychologist at the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry unit, Sheba medical centre, Tel Hashomer. As always, Jotam is also trying to find time for playing and recording his music.
Steve Nalbandian (Bio-Medical Engineering)
Yael Litmanovitz (Journalism with Psychology) MSc Evidence Based Social Intervention, Oxford as a Weidenfeld scholar. DPhil in the same department titled 'Police training in democratic societies'. Member of development team for Health Talk Israel. Previously project officer at Amnesty International - Israel Section.
Yonathan Paz (International Politics) Went on to work in Israel in social change organisations. Gained a scholarship to take an MSc in Development Studies at the LSE (2009-10). Worked for the UN in Vienna and assisted research in the department of International Development, Oxford University. Yonathan is currently working for the Humanitarian Futures Programme at King's College London, where he leads a disaster risk reduction project in West Africa.

Second Cohort 2006/9

Aviad Hadar Psychology) After completing his BSc in Phycology Aviad was awarded a City University doctoral scholarship and undertook research in Cognitive Neuroscience Research. Dr. Aviad Hadar has been recently appointed as a part time senior researcher at the brain stimulation lab at the faculty of life sciences of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. He currently works on a novel treatment for several psychiatric disorders using the cutting edge technology of deep transcranial magnetic stimulation (dTMS, Brainsway ltd.). Since graduation Aviad has published several peer reviewed publications at high ranking journals and a book chapter. Aviad remains in touch with the UK and international scientific community and is also an honorary research fellow at City University London, a member of the British Psychological Society and an external expert for the European Commission.
Maty Baratz (International Politics) returned to Israel where he has worked both for the government and in the private sector in security-related jobs.
Evegny Savin (Computer Systems Engineering) After completing his undergraduate degree in Computer Systems Engineering Evgeny went on to become Application Support Analyst at UBS, London. He then worked for MF Global as 'trading systems analyst'. Currently Evgeny is studying for a Master's degree in Economics and Business Administration at Humboldt university of Berlin.
Stav Shaffir (Journalism/Sociology) Went on to study Philosophy of Ideas at Tel Aviv academy and work as journalist for Yedioth Acharonot. Became prominent in Israel (and international media) as leader of Israeli social justice movement ("the tent protest") 2011 links: Haaretz, El Pais, Guardian.
Tal Rubin (International Politics) having completed two years working for human rights in Israel and the occupied Palestinian territories as Coordinator of the Freedom of Movement Department at HaMoked, has won Sir Sigmund Warburg scholarship to study for an MSc in Human Rights at LSE.
Mazen Zoabi (Psychology) he has been working, mostly in London, as a translator/production assistant for television and documentary productions, including for Channel 4 and the BBC. Mazen is now seeking a career in Communications.
Jayyab Abu Safia (Journalism) a TV presenter and Journalist for Al-alamia.
May Zawahreh (International Politics) worked for the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah in 2009 before changing tack and embarking on a career in health care.
Khalil Bitar (International Politics) after completing his undergraduate degree in International Politics Khalil worked at the AMIDEAST's Model School Network (MSN) Program as the M&E Officer before furthering his studies in the field of evaluation in Belgium.  Upon completion of his postgraduate education at the Institute of Development Policy and Management, he re-joined AMIDEAST as the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting Manager for the Leadership and Teacher Development (LTD) Program.  In January 2013, Khalil co-founded the Palestinian Evaluation Association (PEA) in which he serves as the Director.  Khalil's interests are in project/programme evaluation, and he has conducted several external projects and programme evaluations for various local and international NGOs in Palestine and the MEMA region.
Razan Makhlouf (Sociology & Media Studies) went on to work as a Research Assistant on the Jerusalem module of Cambridge and Exeter Universities Conflict in Cities (ESRC funded) project. She also works as a freelance photographer.
Montaser Abdi (Communications Engineering) awarded PhD scholarship and Teaching Assistantship at City University where he engaged in research
Wael Alsusi (Multimedia & Internet Systems) working freelance in graphic and web design

Third Cohort 2008/2011

Yoav Galai (International Politics) After graduating from City University Yoav completed an MA in the Politics of Conflict at Ben-Gurion University in Be'er Seva, Israel. Yoav is now pursuing a PhD at the University of St Andrews on the international politics of narratives as part of the university's 600th anniversary scholarship programme. He also continues his work as a photojournalist.
Shay Zavaro (International Politics) Proceeding to post grad studies in International Economics at Kings College London.
Eti Shechtman (International Politics) Eti gave the graduand speech at the Social Sciences graduation ceremony in summer 2011, since then she has begun to resume work as a news journalist, her profession in the IDF and before winning her Olive Tree Scholarship.
Noam Rabinovich After graduating from City University, Noam worked as a strategic consultant on a political campaign in Israel. Following that, she joined B'Tselem - the Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories as its International Relations Associate, dealing with resource development and international advocacy. Noam is currently back in London studying her MSc in Human Rights at LSE.
Lior Amihai (International Politics and Sociology) Lior is currently working at the Settlement Watch Team at Peace Now, in Israel.
Elizabeth Jadon (Law) Elizabeth is set to complete her law degree to 2012 and while doing so intends to set up a pilot run of a Legal Advice Clinic at Northampton Square staffed by City Law students and faculty advisers. In summer 2011 she wrote a 'Shadow Report' submitted by the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions to the United Nations Committee on Economic Social and Cultural Rights 47th Session analysing Israel's compliance with the International Convention on Economic Social and Cultural Rights.
Ahmed Ziat (International Politics) completed his BA in English Language and Literature at An-Najah University as well as his BSc in International Politics at City. Now the development, fund raising and major donor relations intern at Chatham House (Royal Institute of International Relations).
Enas Al Bittar (Business Management) has returned to Gaza to complete a degree she had begun before winning an Olive Tree scholarship, also in Business. She is currently an Audit Associate at Ernst and Young.
Haneen Njoum (Biomedical Engineering) has worked as a Medical Coordinator at Kuwait Oil Company Medical Department and just starting her position as a PhD researcher, on a City University London scholarship, undertaking a project in tissue engineering.
Layaly Hamayel (Psychology) since becoming a graduate, Layaly has been working as a medical translator, a youth worker for children with disabilities, and travelling.
Rima Al Rakhawi (Journalism) works as a News Editor with 'Arabs today' news agency in London.

Fourth Cohort 2010/2013

Yafa Almzayyen (Investment & Financial Risk Management). After completing her degree in Investment & Financial Risk Management Yafa moved to Manchester and is currently pursuing a career in banking.
Mohammed Altanany (Multimedia Engineering) After completing his BEng (Honours) degree, he is currently working as a multimedia developer at a TV channel.
Deema Awad (Psychology) after completing her undergraduate degree in Psychology, Deema returned to her home town of Tamra in order to take the GRE exam and apply for different Master's programmes in her field. She is currently working as an English/Cultures teacher at a gifted students centre and is also volunteering at the "Lateef" Health Centre.
Yoav Bornstein (International Politics) Since graduating Yoav has continued to work as a London Correspondent for the Israeli financial daily Calcalist.
Racheli Goldstein (Psychology) Racheli is currently a project worker at 'St. Mungos Broadway'. She will be starting her degree in medicine in Aberdeen University next September.  
Bahaa Milhem (Journalism) Baha is currently a journalist and a TV presenter at Al Ghad Al Arabi TV.
David Rachmani (International Politics and Sociology) After completing his undergraduate degree in International Politics and Sociology David decided to move back to Israel in order to produce a festival for the Jerusalem Theatre and is currently developing his own business for Public Relations and productions.
Nitzan Regev-Sanders (International Politics and Sociology) Nitzan received the student prize for best overall results on the BSc International Politics and Sociology programme at City University. She is currently studying for a Master's degree in International Conflict Studies at King's College London.
Lama Suleiman (Media Studies and Sociology) Lama has completed her undergraduate degree in Sociology and media studies and is now pursuing a career in her field.
