Contact with swine flu

If you have swine flu you should stay away from the University until completely symptom free. If you have been in contact with someone who has swine flu, you should continue working if you have no symptoms but monitor yourself carefully for symptoms.

Symptoms

The symptoms of swine flu in people are similar to the symptoms of regular human seasonal flu and include fever, fatigue, lack of appetite, coughing, sore throat, pain in muscles and joints, headache and chills. Some people with swine flu have also reported vomiting and diarrhoea.

Current situation

Swine flu activity in the UK is currently low but City University London is closely monitoring the situation. We are following the guidance issued by the Health Protection Agency (HPA) and will revise our own pandemic flu plan as necessary. We will regularly update this site as the situation evolves.
