University Quiz Time

The Magnificent Seven win City's staff Quiz.

On Friday evening over 160 staff descended on Ten Squared to make up the 27 teams which took part in City’s latest University Quiz.


With 100 points at stake, it was finally The Magnificent Seven, comprising of HR team members Matt Beattie, Roann Etan, Dean Horton, Casandra Jones, Harmeet Vasir and Spencer Webb, who won the Quiz with 78 points. The Magnificent Seven were closely followed by reigning champions from the School of Social Sciences, who had been fighting to retain their title, as they answered questions on categories such as: London, Music, General Knowledge, TV and Sport.

 

“We all had a great night at the University Quiz and are thrilled to have won it. The Quiz is a great opportunity for new members of the team to socialise together and meet other colleagues from around the University,” says Spencer Webb, HR Administration and Recruitment Team Leader in City’s HR Business Services.

 

Spot prizes were also awarded to Margit Alexy in Improvement Process and Change Services (part of Information Services), and Emma Connolly from Property and Facilities.

 

Quiz Master, Graham Miller, says: “We would like to thank all of those who took part in Friday’s Quiz, especially Kelly Redhead and Jody Williams who helped out on the night and without whom the quiz could not have taken place.”
