CitySpark student competition offers £5,000 first prize

Get help with your business idea and be in the running to win big!

CitySpark is the venture competition for City students who want help to get their ideas in business and social enterprise off the ground. So far, six winning ideas have received a total of £1,700 prize money during the inaugural CitySpark Ideas Challenge last term.


A bigger prize of £5,000 along with entry into the London City Incubator awaits the best team who submits the best business plan. The Incubator is a virtual environment designed to support new businesses that can demonstrate high growth potential.  The second-prized winners get £2,500 while third prize students take home a cool £1,000.


Form your team and register your interest by Friday, 5 March. Write your ten-page business plan to grasp an opportunity and launch a new venture.

  • 17.00  Friday 5 March: Business Plan Challenge registration closes
  • 17.00 Friday 12 March: Deadline for business plan submission
  • w/b Monday 15 March: presentations to judges & selection of finalists
  • 14.00-17.00 Thursday 25 March: finalists’ presentations to judges
  • 18.00 Thursday 25 March: Business Plan Challenge prize giving
