Dementia and the Older Person Special Interest Group

Special interest group on dementia and the older person, to hold meeting in January

The forum for practitioners and researchers who have an interest in dementia and the older person will be held on 20 January, where attendees will get a chance to share knowledge and network.

Those who were unable to attend the first meeting, in early December, will now be given a chance to contribute to the development of the forum. The next few sessions will see attendees discuss what they do and what is happening in their places of work, as well as getting to know each other better.

The December meeting was led by two members of staff from the School of Community and Health Sciences, Jennifer Dudman and Claire Smith. It enabled interested individuals including academic staff, practitioners from East London Foundation Trust and Admiral Nurses to come together to find out what their colleagues were doing in the area of dementia care.

The meeting on Wednesday 20 January will be held at 3pm in room G6 in the School of Community and Health Sciences building, located on Philpot Street, Whitechapel.
