The winners of the Department of Cultural Policy and Management's Scholarship and Bursary Scheme 2008/9 have been announced.
City has announced the winners of its Department of Cultural Policy and Management Scholarship and Bursary Scheme 2008/9.
The scheme aims to open access to its MA Culture, Policy and Management by offering two scholarships and one or more bursaries to people who can demonstrate their commitment to and vision for the future of the sector.
Both scholarships are to the value of £4,620, with one awarded to a home student and the other awarded to an overseas student.
The bursary is to the value of £550 and geared towards UK candidates who have had substantial involvement with the cultural sector on a voluntary basis, and can demonstrate financial need.
The winners are:
Overseas scholarship: Niloufer Sagar, from India
UK scholarship: Paul Bowman
UK bursary: Phoebe Kallin
Vicky Woollard of the Department of Cultural Management and Policy said: “Each winner clearly demonstrated a real passion for the sector and a vision for how they would like their careers to unfold within it.”
