City ranked among UK top 30 in new league table

The Times Higher Education Table of Tables 2017 has been published

by City Press Office (General enquiries)

City, University of London has made its first appearance in the Times Higher Education (THE) ‘Table of Tables', published this week.

Entering the chart at number 27, City is ranked alongside King’s College London, Newcastle University and the University of Sheffield.

The ‘Table of Tables’ ranks the UK’s top 30 universities based on the combined results of the three main domestic university league tables –The Good University Guide (published by The Times and The Sunday Times), The Guardian University Guide, and The Complete University Guide – to provide a snapshot of how universities are viewed by national newspapers. It is calculated by giving the 30 top-ranked institutions points corresponding to their position with total scores determining the positions.

Early this year The Complete University Guide 2017 ranked City first in London and in the top 10 in the UK for student satisfaction. In May, City was ranked 18th overall (and fourth in London) in the Guardian University Guide 2017. In November, City will contest the ‘University of the Year’ Award at the Times Higher Education Awards.
