City University London will host its second Made@City event from 2-4pm on 17th June at the Shoreditch Village Hall, Hoxton Square, Shoreditch, as part of London Technology Week

The Shoreditch Village Hall is an independent community hub for the expanding tech, digital and creative ecosystem in the area, supported by Shoreditch Works.

Made@city Organised by the Professional Liaison Unit (PLU) and the Enterprise Office, Made@City is a celebration of the work of final year undergraduate and postgraduate students in the School of Mathematics, Computer Science & Engineering, particularly those whose work demonstrates excellence in innovation, creativity and the best use of technology.

Each student will be exhibiting their project work individually. Attendees, including potential investors, staff and students from across City, will also have a chance to vote for their favourite project to decide the inaugural Made@City 2014 Peoples Prize.

Alex Elkins, Business Development Manager for the School of Mathematics, Computer Science & Engineering, is of the view that this year's event exposes students and attendees alike to an even higher calibre of talent:

"Building on last year's successful maiden event, we are pleased to be staging Made@City as part of London Technology Week, which will expose our students to the very best in the world of technological innovation and entrepreneurship."

Ben-Mumby Croft, Enterprise Education Manager, said:

"We are delighted to be producing the 2014 edition of Made@City. It promises to be even bigger and better than it was last year, with more exhibitors and student projects showcasing the very best combination of technology, creativity and entrepreneurship at City. It's also been a major boost for us to take the event off-campus and into the heart of Tech City, Europe's fastest growing technology cluster. City is ideally placed to take advantage of this location and, through events like Made@City, demonstrate how it can play a part in developing the next generation of technology talent."
