City academic to examine ways of enabling and securing the enterprise of the future

Professor Kevin Jones to take part in Infosecurity Magazine webinar.
by John Stevenson

Professor Kevin Jones, Head of Computer Science in the School of Informatics, will be one of two featured academic speakers during the Infosecurity Magazine webinar, 2020 Vision: Enabling and Securing the Enterprise of the Future.

The webinar takes place at 2pm on 19 February.

nullWith the increasing currency of concepts such as 'serious play' and 'social technology', the webinar will explore what the worker of the future can expect and ways that information security professionals can better prepare enterprises.

The topics discussed during the webinar will include: Dealing with change driven by user demand; The growing importance of identity and access management in a 'networked world'; What could working anywhere on any device wherever we are, look like?; How do we enable 'crowdsecuring' as threats grow hand in hand with pervasive technology?

Professor Jones, who is also Interim Dean of the School of Informatics, said:

"Projections about the Enterprise of the Future should naturally yield important insights into the information security requirements of the future. As computing becomes more pervasive, risks and opportunities will become correspondingly inescapable. The Infosecurity webinar provides an appropriate platform to discuss these issues."
