nullMr Bagri stepped down having completed the normal appointment term for Council members of nine years. During that time he served as Chair of the Audit Committee and, for the last three years, as Chair of Council.

As Chair, he made significant improvements to the University's Governance structure and played a major role in paving the way for the City Vision 2016 and the emerging Strategic Plan, which will be discussed by Council in March 2012.

At a goodbye dinner, Mr Bagri's important contribution to the University was celebrated with speeches and presentations from City's new Pro-Chancellor and Chair of Council, Rob Woodward, and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Paul Curran.

Mr Bagri will retain a Visiting Professorship at Cass Business School alongside other roles, which include Managing Director of the Metdist Group of Companies and Chairman of The Royal Parks.
