Dr Newton Armstrong presents at Royal Academy of Music symposium

Dr Newton Armstrong, Lecturer in Composition at City's Centre for Music Studies, will be discussing his work at the 'Piano as Spectral Instrument' symposium at the Royal Academy of Music on Friday 3 February 2012.

Other presenters include composer Alex Hills and pianist Roderick Chadwick.

The afternoon discussions will be followed by a concert of works by Armstrong, Hills, Lachenmann, Liszt and Radelescu.

The event is free and open to the public.
