Welcome to Dr Oddveig Storstad

The Centre for Food Policy welcomes Dr Oddveig Storstad, who joins us at City on a one year scholarship funded by the Norwegian Research Council.
by charlotte Dr Storstad is research manager in sociology at the Centre for Rural Research at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway.

Over the coming twelve months she plans to analyse qualitative and quantitative data from Norway, and will collect comparative data in the UK. The scholarship provides an opportunity to explore common research topics with the staff at the Centre for Food Policy, and publish articles on a variety of topics.

Professor Tim Lang, head of the Centre for Food Policy, said: 'Dr Storstad joining the Centre for 2012/13 is really welcome. We have long had good relations with the Centre for Rural Research in Norway, where she is based. That Centre is a famous and vibrant research institution, so we were delighted when this opportunity for Oddveig to come to City for a year came up. She is looking at many things which interest us too, notably consumer attitudes to food and rural matters.'
