City Music PhD student Erik Nyström coordinates exchange concerts between the Centre for Music Studies and IDKA and Fylkingen (Sweden)
The Centre for Music Studies at City University London has entered into a concert exchange with two institutions in Sweden, IDKA (Institute of Digital Arts, Gävle) and Fylkingen (Contemporary Music Society, Stockholm).
Music PhD student Erik Nyström is coordinating the exchange. The first concert was held in the Performance Space at City on 18 October and presented current Swedish electroacoustic music and audiovisual art with invited guests Thomas Bjelkeborn, Viktor Eriksson and Michael Larsson, among others associated with the said institutions.
Two further concerts are taking place in Sweden - on 25 October 2011 at IDKA, and 26 October 2011 at Fylkingen. These will showcase electroacoustic music from City University London in the presence of Peiman Khosravi, Erik Nyström and Ambrose Seddon.
