City students edit and contribute to The Musicology Review

City Music PhD student Liam Cagney is currently one of the co-editors of The Musicology Review, a journal published at University College Dublin.

On Friday 11 November 2011, Issue 7 of The Musicology Review was launched at the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Dublin, by Dr Gareth Cox, Head of Department at the University of Limerick.

Recent City University PhD graduate Laura Seddon has an article included in the issue, entitled 'Blue Plaque Attack: Gender Issues in the Memorialisation of Musicians'.

The issue also features the work of contributors from Berlin, Hong Kong, California, Cape Town, New Haven, Sydney, Middletown Connecticut (Wesleyan), London, Cambridge and UCD itself.

Articles from issue 7 of the The Musicology Review will soon be available via the scholarly search engine EBSCO Academic Search Premiere.
