What's on

Your first weeks at City will be filled with events, talks and activities to ensure that your introduction to university life is as smooth as possible. Below are some of the highlight events that you can attend during your first weeks.

Every day during Welcome Week

10:00 - 16:00 Campus Tours: Student Ambassadors will lead campus tours every 20 minutes throughout Welcome Week to help you get your bearing at City. Tours last for 30 minutes, no need to book, just turn up and join the next group. Northampton Square (Meet at the bandstand)
Various times

Fortnight of free classes:  Commencing Monday 18th September - 29th September 2017

A great opportunity for All Freshers to try out our Fitness and Wellbeing classes (Yoga, Pilates) for FREE. Limited space available for each class so turn up a little earlier, as this will be on a first come first served basis. Great classes with fantastic instructors!

Check out the class timetables and arrive early to the classes. Subject to availability on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Fortnight Gym Challenge:Monday 18th September to 1st October 2017.

An opportunity to win six one hour sessions with a fitness instructor by participating in our gym challenge. Each session will focus on a different speciality including Free-weights, Gymnastics, Crossfit, Bodyweight, Resistance Machines, and Mobility and Flexibilty.  For more information, please speak to the fitness team.

Various times Drop in sports (Futsal, Badminton, Table Tennis, Basketball): Come and try all of the indoor sports on offer at CitySport for FREE. 15:00 - 16:00 Luck of the pop! Sign up during the sports meet for your chance to win some incredible prizes from the WolfPack. We have 5 grand prizes up for grabs along with lots of other fantastic prizes to be won. We'll have some prize filled balloons - Simply pop one and see what's inside! The event is FREE to attend - just bring your Student ID card along to register.

17: -19:00 International Students Welcome Reception: Our new international students are invited to Mansion House, the home and office of the Lord Mayor of London and the Rector at City, University of London, to celebrate their arrival at City and meet staff and fellow students. Find Out About...Your Tier 4 Visa: If you hold a Tier 4 visa there are many things you need to know to ensure you do not accidentally break the rules, and that you study and travel safely during your time here. This session will ensure you know what you can and can’t do so you can concentrate on enjoying your studies in the UK. This session will also be run as part of some school inductions, so check your timetable.

Commuters Mixer: Meet students who aren’t in your lectures. We're hosting a Commuters Mixer so that you can meet other students from your local area.

18:30 - 20:00 Dodgeball: You'll be sure to meet lots of great new friends whilst taking part in this fun sporting activity that is always one of our most popular in the welcome week calender. 12:00 - 17:00 Tour of London Places of Worship: Join the Chaplaincy Team for a tour of some of London’s iconic places of worship, and enjoy a culturally diverse experience in our global city.  We begin at the St Paul’s Cathedral, then travel to East London Mosque, before ending our tour at the Central London Synagogue.  A warm welcome awaits you in each place as well as from the Chaplaincy Team. Parents' Picnic: A fun and informal picnic for all of our student parents. Come along and have a picnic with us and meet other mums and dads. Children are also invited to join.

14:00 - 17:00 Goalball: Can you beat Paralympian Georgina Bullen and pass the ball into the goal? The challenge is that your eyes are covered.
