Professional Liaison Unit

The Professional Liaison Unit (PLU) operates within the School of Mathematics, Computer Science & Engineering. The unit supports both students and employers through the process of undertaking or providing placements, internships and work-based learning.

The PLU offers a variety of bespoke work-based learning programmes, all of which have been designed to accommodate varying requirements of students and employers.

We educate our students by integrating professional development planning and employability into course material. We connect our academics with industry professionals to enrich programme content and gain professional input for course design. Our team provides employers with a simple and complete service that enables organisations to access City talent.

Our Aims

We aim to enhance the student experience, by equipping our students with the tools required to bridge the gap between education and employment.
