Educational technology guidance & support

You can request technical support through ServiceNow and access guidance on our dedicated EdTech website.

We recognise that staff and students appreciate support and guidance when using unfamiliar technologies, when exploring available options, or looking for advice or inspiration on what is available.

Self-service guidance

Staff can access a wealth of practical information and inspiration from our guidance website. This website includes practical step-by-step guides documenting the common uses of all of City’s core educational technologies, and a range of information to help you design and create technology-enhanced learning activities.

We also have a smaller range of guidance for students. Staff can suggest ideas for student guidance which would be useful for their teaching activities on Service Now.

Accessing support

Our school-based educational technology teams can be contacted online via Service Now, the University’s centralised system for logging requests and incident reports for business systems. We cannot guarantee that there will always be a member of staff available in our offices and Service Now helps us channel your query to the right team as soon as possible.

Staff and students can use Service Now to contact us, by logging in with their City IT username and password.

Incident or request?

Please log an IT Service Request for questions and support queries for all of our educational technologies.

Log an IT Service Request

Please log an IT Incident to report a problem or fault with one of our educational technologies, with a teaching pod, or any of the University’s online systems.
