Sunny Mann

Sunny took the Graduate Entry LLB from 2003-2005. Sunny had studied as an undergraduate at the University of Western Ontario, from which she graduated with a BSc in 1997. Sunny subsequently qualified as a high school teacher at London University, before teaching for several years at a high school in Ontario. Sunny enrolled on the Graduate LLB in 2003. She graduated in 2005, and accepted the offer of a training contract in London Ontario.

"The law school has excellent teaching staff who expect the best from every student and who are willing to provide extra help and one on one attention in order for each student to achieve their maximum potential…… Classes are academically exciting as well as challenging….The Graduate LLB was a very international class; you have individuals from all over the world as peers.

"There is so much to see and do and experience in London….so much history at your doorstep with the Parliament Buildings, Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral, Buckingham Palace and the British Museum… There is always something exciting to do, from going shopping on Oxford Street, to strolling through Hyde Park, eating at one of the many amazing restaurants or taking in a West End play or show… London is a great base to travel to nearby cities in Europe."

Joanna Leung

Joanna Leung graduated with a BA from the University of British Columbia in 2003. After graduating second in the class of 2005 at City, Joanna was offered a training contract with a Hong Kong based multi-national law firm, but elected instead to continue her studies by taking an LLM degree at Cornell University and subsequently passing the New York Bar. Joanna has now accepted an associate lawyer position in the Manhattan offices of the multi-national law firm Shearman and Sterling, where she will be working in the corporate finance division.

"At City, I learned the essentials of legal theory from an inspiring and supportive faculty who have helped me refine my critical and lateral thinking skills. I had the pleasure of being taught by an exceptional faculty who are passionate about their work and instilled into me their legal knowledge and expertise….

"Living in London has given me a truly international perspective based on local ties and understandings…. The international make-up of the student body helped me build a strong network of friends with diverse experiences and backgrounds. My law school experience at City is one I will always cherish. I highly recommend the two-year LLB program to anyone who wishes to pursue a law degree abroad."
