Courses

At The City Law School we offer education and training for every step of your legal career. Taught in the heart of legal London, our courses give you the essential legal skills and knowledge needed to be successful in law.

With four levels of study: undergraduate, postgraduate, professional and CPD we offer courses suitable for everyone interested in following a career in law. We are also pleased to announce the introduction of a four week intensive Legal English Course this summer.

Our undergraduate law degree gives you the foundation of your legal knowledge and allow you to go on directly to either the LPC or the BPTC to become a solicitor or barrister. For non-law graduates looking to start a career in law, our renowned Graduate Diploma in Law and Graduate Entry LLB have an unrivalled reputation for producing high quality graduates and allow you to progress to the professional stage of your legal training.

Our professional courses are delivered from our Gray's Inn campus based in the heart of the legal community. Our Legal Practice Course has consistently achieved the top grading in all areas by the SRA (Solicitors Regulation Authority). As the former Inns of Court School of Law we have been training barristers for the bar as far back as 1852. Our Bar Professional Training Course gives you the skills you need to become a successful barrister.

Our LLM programmes and M.Jur enable you to gain a specialist knowledge in a particular area of law at Master's level. You can also gain a PhD, MPhil or LLM by research - we have been recognised by the Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) as producing research of world leading quality and, as part of City University London, we have a research pedigree that dates back over 100 years.

We provide a range of Continuing Professional Development Courses (CPD). We offer in-house courses, public courses, bespoke training and compulsory SRA training.

We also offer an Introduction to Legal English course to introduce overseas students to the British language and the key skills of advocacy, case preparation and legal debate.
