Julie Browne
Julie Browne, LLB, Barrister, Senior Lecturer
Julie joined The City Law School (formerly the Inns of Court School of Law) in 2001. She is a Deputy Course Director of the Bar Vocational Course and the Co-ordinator of Drafting and Commercial Law in Practice.
Julie was called to the Bar in 1989 and, during her 12 years in practice, she undertook a wide variety of general civil and commercial work, but particularly specialised in insolvency, company and property litigation.
On the BVC, Julie currently teaches Civil Advocacy, Civil Litigation, Drafting, Company law in Practice and Commercial law in Practice. She is the Series Editor of the 14 Bar Vocational Manuals, published by Oxford University Press.
She is also an experienced CPD trainer. She regularly trains solicitors in advocacy on the “Higher Rights” programme, and clients have included leading City firms, The Association of Law Costs Draftsmen and the Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys. She also delivers CPD courses on Evidence, Case Preparation, Drafting and Litigation to City solicitors.
