David Herling is Course Director of the Graduate Diploma in Law course, and lectures on constitutional and administrative law, criminal law and contract. He is currently researching aspects of public law and seeking comparisons between UK and Israeli constitutional practice.

The use of language in the law is among his other legal interests, deriving from a degree and subsequent doctorate in English Literature. Since qualifying as a barrister he has retained a particular interest in the academic and practical stages of training for the Bar. He is the author of Brief-case on Constitutional and Administrative Law, first published in 1995, and has contributed to journals in this country and in Israel.
